We're a bit cheaper than Harvey Nix, but either way this is a great example of white burgundy - full of chardonnay fruit but gentle to drink! |

OXFORD LANDING SAUVIGNON BLANC A part of the massive Yalumba corporation, Oxford Landing is sometimes mistaken for being from New Zealand. Personally I think it comes very close to some of the best NZ Sauvignon's - light but with plenty of flavour - nice screw-top for easy access!! |

WHISTLING DUCK SEMILLON CHARDONNAY, NSW, AUSTRALIA Another Australian - Semillon is most famously used for its lusciousness in wines from the Sauternes district (sweet). When combined with chardonnay the sweetness is barely evident and the fruit comes through to create a very easy going drinkable white that can handle strong and spicy foods. |

CLOOF BUSH VINE CABERNET SAUVIGNON South Africa is often famed for its Pinotage, but I think they are better suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bush Vine seems to soften the tannins a little too. Cloof are 200km north of Cape Town and benefit from the searing heat softened by gentle sea-breezes - bags of flavour. |
